Arab Day Celebration for Children with Disabilities

Under the patronage of Mr. Mohammad Al-Ahmad, the Minister of Culture, the Child Culture Directorate held the fifth celebration of the Arab Day for children with disabilities at the cultural complex in Dummar. Its Program included the gallery of children drawings which won the Directorate 2016 contest for children with disabilities, as well as art workshops (drawing- recyclable materials – clay), painting on the faces of children, storyteller for blind children, honoring of the winner children, and a show with the participation of children with special needs.

 In a statement to reporters, Mr. Tawfiq Al-Imam, Deputy Minister of Culture, stressed that Syria has always been a pioneer in the establishment of such events and this one was with the participation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the UNICEF, the “Imaa” Association and other social entities. “These children are emerging such artistic skills, so that they add value to society. We at the Ministry of Culture also appreciate and value the efforts made by trainers of the children.”
